Meet the chivito: Tenderloin, mozzarella, black forest ham, bacon, green olives, sunnyside egg and escabeche. It adds up to a $13 sammy from my fav dc gas station and no I won't tell you the name of it. Also it serves homemade bacon chocolate and a really convincing cubano that Drop The Lime can vouch for.
This hidden gem spot is getting pitched to do a reality show and I have no question that the neighborhood would keep it interesting to say the least.. Recently the Smalltown DJs cabbed it up and their driver didn't want to let them out in light of the "surroundings." I'm glad the owners are committed to keepin it real w/ a "my way or highway" vision to this would be show and approach to gourmet food sans snobbery.
